This is first sweet i made, which came out very well, and now its my husband's favourite.Ok,let me share the process. Its so simple though.

Ingredients:
Pesarapappu or moongdal - 1cup
(soak it in water over night nearly 8 hrs)
Sugar-2+1/2 cup
Milk-1cup
Cardamom-3
Cashews-small amount for garnishing(usually i use more..:))
butter or ghee-2tb spoon

Procedure:
1)Grind the moondal by adding small amount of water.
2)Heat 1 tb spoon ghee in a pan on medium heat and then add the grinded moongdal to it along with milk.
3)Stir the mixture continuously until liquid gets evaporated.
4)Add sugar and mix it well untill its dissolved.Stir the mixture till it gets thick.Once the mixture reaches the thickness of halwa, its done.
5)Fry the cashews in ghee in other pan and garnish.

Delicious Moongdal halwa is ready.
